Our Purpose,
Our Mission, Our Service:
- To have a more visible Christian presence
in the community for those seeking Christ,
- To offer a place easily accessible to
those seeking more information,
- To help bring more community among the
existing churches and their congregations,
- To keep a diversity of Christian
resources available for the surrounding communities and congregations.
- To offer a place for seekers and those in
need when they are unsure of where to find help,
- To help point people to a bible based church,
- To pray for those we serve and those who are of
this world, and to help inspire others to do the same,
- To make and keep the Gospel easily accessible to
all,
- To honor God through loving others and exalting
Jesus Christ as Lord.
It is interesting to note these few last years
Washington State ranked last or almost last in the United States as the least churched state in
the country. We in the "Wild, Wild West" were settled last and did not
have the benefit of the Pilgrims' faith to help form the state with a more solid
Christian foundation. We heard that our county ranked last in
Washington.....Yup, this is sort of like opening up a bathing suit store in
Northern Alaska. However, when God opens the door and tells you to walk through
it, you better do it!
There is a purpose to why we are where we are and why we need
your support. Please keep Christian Resources available in your area by
fully supporting and shopping with your local Christian Bookstore. When
you do, you help keep the availability of Christian books and products in your
area, contribute to the diversity in their offerings, and help build Christ's
Kingdom. Supporting your local Bible store ensures that people who have no
credit card or computer have access to a very large assortment of Christian
books, greeting cards, music, church supplies, bibles, and other evangelistic
tools.
Shopping at your local bible store helps
your community and Christ's mission. Buying on line helps put Christian
brick and mortar stores out of business. As
an extreme example, buying Christian
resources on-line is not much different than using the internet or using TV as
your only source for church (however it has it's purpose for someone who cannot
get to church). If we all used the internet or the television for our
church services (out of convenience or economics) we would be helping to put an end to
the local physical community churches. Keep your Christian resources
alive.
